| · 166 Mhz Pentium CPU, 32 Meg of Ram,
800X600 VGA video resolution
· Cool Edit Pro v1.1 (Win95/ NT).
· You should use a surround sound
receiver/decoder for monitoring, but it is not necessary for
the PanHandler to operate. You can use professional and consumer
level decoders (which are readily available in any consumer electronics
store). There are also a number of multimedia surround sound
speaker systems and sound cards available. This requirement
will vary depending upon the media used for the final product
(ie: Film, Video, and/or Multimedia).
· It is also highly recommended that
you get the best audio cable to connect the line output your
sound card to the input of the Surround Sound receiver/decoder.
A poorly designed cable only adds noise, limits frequency response,
and causes a variety of phase and amplitude errors. A surround
sound receiver/decoder is very sensitive to amplitude and phase
errors.
Bring your project's soundtrack
to life with the same 5-speaker surround sound encoding used
in theaters and home theater systems. Fly-bys, precise stereo
imaging and mix automation are as easy as dragging your "pan
point" from one side of the PanHandler's window to another!
Once you have produced a stereo soundtrack encoded for surround
sound with the PanHandler, it can be accurately played back with
any surround sound decoder or receiver. If played back with normal
stereo equipment, the soundtrack will still have a wider sound
with excellent imaging.
