System Requirements:
Adobe Premiere 4.2.1 (Macintosh version). PowerPC with as much RAM as you can afford (64-meg minimum). If you are using Peak Bias, then you must be version 1.61 or above.
You will also need a Surround Sound receiver/decoder, which are readily available in any consumer electronics store. This requirement will vary depending upon the media used for the final product (ie: Film, Video, and/or Multimedia). Surround soundtracks create a wider, more enveloping soundfield even when played in normal stereo.
Minimum: 800X600 @1000 colors video resolution.
It is also highly recommended that you get the best audio cable to connect the line output your sound card to the input of the Surround Sound receiver/decoder. A poorly designed cable only adds noise, limits frequency response, and causes a variety of phase and amplitude errors. A surround sound receiver/decoder is very sensitive to amplitude and phase errors.
