Westland Whirlwind Mk II Westland Whirlwind Mk II

$5.95

Designed in 1938, the Westland Whirlwind has remarkable flying characteristics for that time. Powered by two 885 h.p. Rolls Royce Peregrine engines, with its clear aerodynamic design, the Whirlwind showed top speeds of 360 m.p.h., which is faster than the Spitfire I. The fixed armament consists of four 20 mm Hispano Mk.I guns. The Whirlwind took part in the Battle of Britain as an interceptor/heavy fighter (Mk.I) and in ground attack missions (Mk II, also called Whirlbomber) and was used until 1943. With a model knife and some craft glue you can have your very own Whirlwind MkII. Print the design on your color inkjet printer, and you'll be building in no time. Very detailed and highly accurate, these printouts create a 1/72 scale model of the real thing. This Adobe Acrobat PDF file contains all the artwork and instructions needed to build this paper model.
