Description
A Desperate Struggle…
Dateline: December, 1942. The Eastern Front of World War II has reached a crucial turning point. The German 6th Army is trapped in the Stalingrad pocket, surrounded by Soviet forces. The successful German summer and fall offensive has run out of gas and now faces a strong and stubborn enemy. In desperation, the German master strategist von Manstein hatches a plan to rescue the 6th Army by attacking with a hastily organized Panzer Army into the Soviet flank. The situation on other fronts leaves him with only three Panzer Divisions and seventy-five miles of hostile terrain to advance through in the dead of winter. With poor intelligence on enemy positions, no reserves and limited supplies, Operation Winter Storm launched on December 12th, pointed straight at Stalingrad!
