DIGITAL RIVER PROVIDES DOWNLOADABLE SOFTWARE TO ONSALE, INC.
Partnership Allows Consumers and Professionals To
Purchase Software Electronically Through a Unique Online Channel
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn., July 19, 1999 -- Digital River (Nasdaq: DRIV), the world leader in electronic software delivery (ESD), today announced an ESD partnership with Onsale®, Inc. (Nasdaq: ONSL), a leading Internet real-time retailer. Through the agreement, Digital River will be the exclusive provider of downloadable software titles through Onsale's Onsale atCost™ online store at http://www.onsale.com. Digital River will also provide services to Onsale, such as special discounts on software sold through the online store.
Onsale atCost allows consumers and professionals to purchase products directly over the Internet at wholesale prices, through a fee-based pricing model. Digital River's database of downloadable titles will be sold through the atCost online store, providing customers with the best software prices from a wide selection of titles.
