Speedlane, Inc. is a young Palo Alto company dedicated to finding new solutions to the Internet speed problem. The company was incorporated in 1997 by a group of experienced software entrepreneurs and Silicon Valley veterans after having completed a year-long study of 18 different methods to speed up the Internet by software. The Speedlane Internet Optimizer is the first product coming out of this research. 

Ongoing research and development will lead to several free updates this year and to software that will more accurately measure Internet throughput.
