What’s the Payment Services Directive Two (PSD2)?

In response to growing concern over the security of online transactions, the European Union introduced a new regulation in early 2018. The regulation is called the Payments Services Directive Two (PSD2), and its goal was to make online payments safer and more secure for consumers.
