To upgrade its subscription capabilities, Code42 needed a solution that could safely transfer their existing small business subscriber base without interrupting its recurring revenue. The solution would need to create an optimal environment for acquiring and converting new small business customers, help expand into new markets with speed, and manage all the complex back-office responsibilities involved with global expansion. They selected Digital River, which would help them do all of this and more.

Digital River helped Code42 migrate from a dated ecommerce solution to a scalable new platform and free trial subscription model. They also implemented new customer notification emails to recapture customers who didn’t migrate in the bulk upload process.

After gathering research for Code42’s global expansion plans, Digital River provided a top 10 list of markets to enter, along with the expected return on investment in each locale. Code42 plans to expand into several new markets, with Digital River providing localization and guidance. With a strategic global expansion plan, upgraded subscriptions platform and marketing support in place, Code42 is well positioned for aggressive growth.
