BlueHornet Networks Wins ClickZ Connected Marketing Award for Best Use of Email Marketing


MINNEAPOLIS — Aug. 18, 2011 — BlueHornet Networks, Inc., a leading enterprise email marketing provider from Digital River, Inc., announced that it won a ClickZ Connected Marketing Award for Best Use of Email Marketing. BlueHornet was recognized for its work on Yum! Brands’ KFC Double Down social email campaign. The ClickZ Connected Marketing Awards recognize brands and organizations that embrace innovation and creativity with their audiences and drive results.

The KFC campaign used social media and email to promote and pre-announce their new KFC Double Down — a one-of-a-kind sandwich that features two Original Recipe® chicken filets in place of the typical sandwich bun. BlueHornet’s flagship email marketing application, eMarketing Suite Enterprise, powered the campaign’s email delivery, data segmentation and targeting. In addition, the campaign used BlueHornet’s SocialLoopâ„¢ social email feature to increase social sharing and acquire new email subscriptions. The campaign achieved a 40 percent open rate, 30 percent increase in email club opt-ins, as well as 12,000 Facebook and Twitter shares within the first 24 hours.
