about proven monetization strategies
MINNEAPOLIS – Feb. 26, 2014 – Digital River, Inc., a leading global provider of Commerce-as-a-Service solutions, will host and sponsor the Monetization Track at the 2015 Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco, Calif., on Wednesday, Mar. 4, 2015, beginning at 11:00 a.m. PT in room 2006 West Hall of the Moscone Center. During the Monetization Track, attendees will hear from experienced game industry professionals who are on the front lines of mastering the art of game monetization. The Monetization Track will feature three panel discussions that cover topics, ranging from the evolution of the free-to-play market to proven strategies for increasing conversions and optimizing alternative payments.
“Although game publishers and developers are seeing continued growth across gaming platforms, monetizing the gaming experience and driving players through the purchase cycle remains a key challenge,” said Thomas Peterson, executive vice president and general manager of commerce at Digital River. “During the Monetization Track, game producers will offer tried and true ways to optimize profitability and enhance gamer experiences by mitigating fraud, driving engagement and using multiple business models.”
Digital River experts will moderate panel discussions, featuring gaming industry practitioners and strategists. Panelists will share insights gleaned from supporting varying business models, such as free-to-play, in-game micro transactions, subscriptions, downloads and physical distribution. For a complete list of presenters, please visit Digital River’s Monetization Day web page where representatives from companies such as ArenaNet; GameHouse, a division of RealNetworks; SuperData Research Inc.; Wargaming.net and others are featured.
