Digital River Webinar Offers Small to Midsized Digital Product Companies Ecommerce Strategies for Selling Cross Border

Explores survey results of 100 ecommerce leaders from the U.S. and Germany

MINNEAPOLIS — Oct. 29, 2015 — Digital River, Inc., a leading global provider of Commerce-as-a-Service solutions, announced that the company will host a free webinar to reveal the results of a survey of more than 100 ecommerce leaders of small-to-midsized businesses (SMB) from the U.S. and Germany. The webinar called, “Empowering International Ecommerce Expansion,” will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. CST. Peter Sheldon, vice president and principal analyst at Forrester Research, Inc., will lead the discussion about current ecommerce trends and the challenges these businesses face when selling digital products online outside their domestic borders. The survey was conducted on behalf of Digital River by Forrester Consulting, one of the world’s most influential research and advisory firms.

By attending the webinar, SMB companies looking to expand their ecommerce channels and sell digital content, software or cloud-based technologies into new geographic markets will gain deeper insight into:

  • The increasing percentage of annual revenue that is being driven by ecommerce channels;
  • Global expansion challenges and solutions; and
  • The advantages ecommerce providers offer in reducing the complexities of international ecommerce.

“The rapid growth of the digital commerce economy continues to open significant international revenue opportunities for SMBs,” said Jason Nyhus, Digital River’s vice president of global marketing and communications. “The challenge many SMBs face is trying to act on those opportunities while managing the complexities of cross border sales with limited resources and bandwidth. Together with Peter Sheldon, we’re looking forward to sharing the results of our research, which sheds some light on these ecommerce issues and how other companies are successfully overcoming them in an increasingly competitive landscape.”

The webinar is open to the public and free of charge. Participation requires a laptop or desktop computer. To register for the Nov. 4 session, please visit http://driv.ws/ag.
